Henriette investigates how policymakers can participate in innovation processes to align the needs of innovators, politics, and society. In particular, she is interested in mutual knowledge exchange between legislators and researchers. Within the project, Henriette is responsible for research and teaching in the field of knowledge transfer at the science-policy interface. In addition to the project work, she is a Fellow of the InnOsci Future Lab, whose goal it is to scale open science practices in the German higher education system. Henriette is a PhD student at University College London's (UCL) Department for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Public Policy (STEaPP).

Henriette completed her Master in Public Policy (MPP) with a focus on science, innovation and technology policy at the University of California (UC), Berkeley. Before her postgraduate work, Henriette studied Economics, Political Science and Law in the interdisciplinary International Relations (BA) programme at Technische Universität Dresden and UC San Diego. Henriette conducted research at the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) at UC Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, and advised Google on a sustainable product innovation as a student consultant.
